The Gurmani Centre for languages and literature at LUMS has been dedicated to the advancement of vernacular languages since 2010. Over the past decade, the Centre has aimed to create a unique and exciting space for research, teaching, and cultural activities relating to South Asian vernacular languages and literatures at LUMS. These endeavours are continued through three core areas: language pedagogy, publications, and events. The Centre also collaborates with other centres, departments, and student societies at LUMS on projects and events related to vernacular languages, literature, and art.
